Reaching Calm is the creation of Instrumentalist/Composer Scott M. Long.  Although Scott has been recording and performing music for over 20 years, the original concept of Reaching Calm began a decade ago with the release of his first instrumental collection entitled "Leaving The Familiar". Before being released commercially, many of his instrumental compositions could be heard by audiences attending one of his live performances in and around the New Orleans area. In 2001 the first series of Reaching Calm was released as an EP. Within weeks of its release, singles from the collection were being added to playlist around the world. In early 2003 a full length version of Reaching Calm was released and peaked at Number # 3 on the World New Age Reporter Charts. Reaching Calm topped not only the NAR Charts, but hundred of playlist aound the country and the world. In 2004 Scott was nominated Best New Artist by the NAR. Reaching Calm Music can be heard on radio stations around the world and on acclaimed programs such as Echoes, Hearts of Space and Sirius/XM . In the years that followed.......
